Sensory Room

A calming and safe space for children with special needs.

The Sensory Room was especially designed for guests with AUTISM, DEMENTIA, ADHD or a variety of other abilities that mean they find it hard to relax and switch their mind-chatter off. A Sensory Bedroom can be invaluable in helping them get to sleep and relax. The sensory bedroom will provide a positive effect on the five senses:
Smell – Fragrance
Sight – The room is colourful, contains moving lights, lava lamps, colourful linen
Touch – The room contains a range of different fabrics and soft toys for touch
Sound – Calming music will be played through a dedicated channel on the TV
Movement – The room contains a number of objects which move and react to touch

Features & Contents:
The sensory bedroom has a mobile sensory trolley, complete with a colour command interactive panel and waterless rainbow tube, allowing children to navigate through a spectrum of colours and patterns and a vibrating cushion, ear defenders and fidget tubes to enjoy during their stay. Visual media also feature in the sensory bedroom, including an Aura Projector, which will delight little ones by projecting a series of bird imagery, while fibrotic lights allow guests to enjoy the beauty of a starry night from the comfort of their bedroom.
